In its fiscal first quarter of 2027, HIVE Digital Technologies reported a significant increase in revenue, up by 73.5% year-over-year to $79.1 million. Most of this revenue, approximately $72.1 million, came from Bitcoin mining operations, which saw a nearly 77% growth. The company mined 1,004 bitcoins during the quarter, an increase of 147% compared to the previous year. However, HIVE reported a net loss of $142.9 million due to a large one-time charge related to a tax dispute in Sweden. Despite this loss, the company showed positive adjusted EBITDA of $13.4 million and ended the quarter with $208 million in cash. The company is focusing on expanding its high-performance computing business for artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to reach about $200 million in annual run-rate revenue by the end of 2026.
